(EEM, Rapid Response Landlord-Tenant Mediation) The Mediation Center of the Pacific helps landlords and tenants negotiate realistic payment plans and maintain a positive working relationship through video conference. Landlords and tenants work with an impartial mediator who will help them discuss a variety of options such as payment plans, temporary rent reductions, deferred payments, and other creative solutions that will enable the landlord to continue receiving some level of payment and enable the tenants to craft a realistic future for remaining in their rental. If landlord and tenant have flexible schedules, mediation sessions can be scheduled in 5 business days. All mediation sessions are held on Zoom.

North Shore Starting at 10:00 am, TheBus Route 521 (Waialua–Haleiwa) will operate its regular route. Riders going to a shelter can flag down the bus anywhere along the route (no bus stop required) One you waive down a bus on Route 521 (Waialua–Haleiwa) you must tell the driver you are evacuating. The fare-free for evacuees will be: Step 1: Flag down a bus on Route 521 with transport to Weed Circle. Or serve for 11 months as a Team Leader and guide members through this transformative service experience. FEMA Corps Teams serve nationally under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) direction to complete administrative projects related to disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. Serve for 12 months and rack up professional skills that are highly transferable. Coordinate with nonprofits and government agencies, plan response and relief efforts during a disaster, or conduct damage assessments after a disaster. Team Leaders also serve for 12 months in FEMA Corps.

Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are still being accepted based on availability, priority application period for the 2022-2023 school year is November 1st through March 1st. Aukukui | Niuolahiki Online Hawaiian Language Courses ‘Aha Pūnana Leo expanded its flexible, online program to offer teachers across the state, an opportunity to receive HME teacher certifications and meet early childhood education requirements. The Niuolahiki Distance Learning Program extends its culturally rooted language program throughout the world. Hale Kipa ʻŌiwi ‘Aha Pūnana Leo has become a nationally recognized model for Native American language revitalization, and a resource for indigenous groups interested in reviving and perpetuating their traditional languages by providing assistance to develop language and cultural revitalization programs.
