(KHS) Until February 2024, a Grant-in-Aid program from the State of Hawaii keeps the cost of the spay and neuter services to $35 per animal and includes a microchip if the animal needs one. Surgery must be paid for in advance and is Non-Refundable. Funding assistance for qualified individuals may be available through our Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). Please see your regular vet prior to scheduling surgery if you have any health concerns. Kauai Humane Society reserves the right to deny surgery to any animal. Dogs must arrive on a leash. Cats must arrive in an enclosed carrier. Small animals must arrive in an enclosed carrier.

Guide Dogs of Hawaii provides ongoing Orientation and Mobility (O and M) training, guide dog veterinary care, and nutritional support. We also assist individuals in preparing for their guide dog training to increase their chances of success.

Provides a list of 125 Oahu beaches that allow or restrict dogs (via the internet). Accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing. Also takes public complaints about barking dogs.
