Feeding Pets of the Homeless assists with emergency veterinary care for pets whose owners are experiencing homelessness. All new requests for assistance are now submitted through our online application: https://petsofthehomeless.org/emergency-veterinary-care/ Applications are reviewed Monday–Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (PST), excluding holidays. If you have limited access to the internet, many public libraries, shelters, and resource centers offer free computer or mobile access. A trusted advocate or case worker may also assist you in completing the application. If approved, we will provide instructions for scheduling care with a participating veterinary clinic. You contribute what you are able to at the appointment, and we help cover the remaining eligible costs. Important: Services may be declined based on eligibility criteria, missed appointments, service limitations, specific procedures, or funding availability. Feeding Pets of the Homeless reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion. When visiting the website, check out the “National Resources” or “Search Resources Near You” sections for more information.
