The Ulupono Family Strengthening Program provides family support, referrals and resources to families on Oahu from birth to 17 years old to promote positive parenting, safe and secure home environment, and healthy child development.

At Mental Health America of Hawaii (MHA Hawaii), we serve our community by advocating and educating to promote mental wellness. We offer a Help Line. (Ma Ka Hana Ka Ike) Ma Ka Hana Ka 'Ike ("In Working, One Learns") is a hands-on vocational skills training program for at-risk high-school youth in Hana, Maui. The mission of our program is to provide Hana's youth with a way to learn that makes sense to them, that builds their self-esteem and shows them they have the power to change their future. By applying academics to real-life situations, our program gives students tangible skills that translate into valuable life experience, while our after-school training component provides much-needed employment in our community. We've established partnerships with other area nonprofits to identify community members who'll best benefit from our students' vocational education. Our goals include transforming the behavioral patterns of at-risk youth, creating an appreciation of learning, building community relationships, responding to real school and community needs, and offering skills of self-sustenance to the remote Hana region.

Provides classes for juveniles on probation with an opportunity to learn about the emotional, physical, psychological and financial impact their crimes have on victims and to accept responsibility for their harmful actions. The goal is to hold the offender accountable and to develop empathy for their victims.

Early Head Start (EHS) provides comprehensive services for families prenatal until the child is 3 years old. Maui Famiy Support Services (MFSS EHS) promotes early childhood education and development by using evidence based curriculum that promotes healthy development and "school readiness" goals. MFSS EHS program focused on family strengths while building and sustaining goals to promote healthy living. MFSS EHS provides both center based option and also weekly Home Visiting services. All Early Head Start services are free of charge for families who meet the eligibility criteria.

(FSS, Family Strengthening Service) This program helps families provide a safe home for their children, promote positive parenting, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Families receive free, short-term, home visiting services designed to provide support and help maintain and improve individual and family function by improving parenting skills. The program also provides information and linkages to community resources. Assists families that are referred to us by the Child Welfare Services. Strengthening the family's skills to help them provide a nurturing environment and connects them with community resources.

(Ho'ola Lahui Pharmacy) Pharmacy with mail order service to Hawaii addresses available, walk-in prescriptions are welcomed and for the uninsured Ho'ola Lahui Hawaii patients, they can receive medications at a low cost based on income.

Investigates complaints by members of the public about specific actions of executive agencies of the state and county governments. Determines whether a complaint is justified by comparing an agency's actions against what the law requires as well as the principles of sound, fair, and reasonable administrative practice. Has no enforcement powers but tries to resolve justified complaints through recommendations and reasoned persuasion. By law, elected officials, courts, the federal government, and private entities are excluded from the Ombudsman's jurisdiction.

(Mothers Milk) Hawaii Mothers' Milk, Inc. (HMMI) is a comprehensive breastfeeding resource center, for both families and health professionals in the State of Hawaii. HMMI provides services to new mothers statewide through our telephone warmline, individualized breastfeeding counseling, rentals and sales of hospital grade and/or home purchase breast pumps and supplies. Seeking volunteers to assist with clerical and other nonpatient duties. Donations accepted. This program offers lactation counseling and breastfeeding support, breast pump rentals, and breast pump sales.

(Church on the Beach Mobile - Koa'e Makana Apartments) Kauai Bible Church helps Hawaii Foodbank Kauai with this branch for food and hygiene product distribution. Church on the Beach Mobile distributes clothes, toiletries, and personal/grooming supplies to the houseless or those in need.

Dedicated to helping victims of domestic abuse by providing direct legal services to clients, legal information, case management and support services, community education, and advocacy for system reform and other specialized services such as our Teen Alert program. Accepts volunteers to assist clients in areas such as individual outreach, safety issues, legal issues, advocacy, manning of legal help line, and clerical and public education.

Administers federal/state program which assists counties in constructing public wastewater treatment facilities. Regulates all public and private wastewater systems. Determines project priorities. Approves facility plans and engineering reports. Approves construction plans, operation and maintenance. Approves all new wastewater systems and inspects all existing wastewater systems to assure that such systems do not create any public health hazard or nuisance or contaminate coastal waters, streams, or groundwaters. Administers the Statewide Wastewater Operator Training Center and Operator Certification Program.

Wounded Warrior Ohana organizes monthly events like Zoo trips, luau, etc. for wounded active duty and veterans, and Gold Start Community members and their families.

Provides support services to persons 60 years or older or persons with disabilities and less than 60 years old. Hep Free Hawai'i (HFH) is a coalition of local, national, and global partners dedicated to increasing awareness of and access to viral hepatitis and harm reduction services throughout the state of Hawaii. Born out of a partnership between the Hawaii Department of Health, the CHOW Project (now the Hawai'i Health & Harm Reduction Center), and other community agencies, Hep Free Hawai'i has been successful by connecting with communities across the islands to make Hawai'i truly “Hep Free.” Use the form on the website.
