The State of Hawaii Department of Taxation - Hawaii District collects State taxes, provides information and assistance on preparation of certain tax forms, issues general excise tax licenses, and furnishes State tax forms.

The Rent-to-Work Program (RTW) provides rental assistance and support services to persons experiencing homelessness who are willing to maintain employment or increase income through employment. The participant must develop and follow an individualized employment and training plan to increase income. Services include: Short-term rental subsidy for 12-24 months, housing placement assistance, tansition to affordable housing (if available), job placement/job training, and intensive case management.

Manages seven apartment complexes for specific occupants: the chronically mentally ill, physically disabled or gap group renters. Provides housing, maintenance and sanitation services only. Residents must be capable of independent living. Offers meeting room during business hours for up to ten people for a fee.

(Straub Geriatric Medicine Department) Provides geriatric health services for the frail elderly. Includes consultation, home visits, social worker assessment, information and referral services, clinical assessment on memory loss and depression.
