Provides written material on osteoporosis to patients, health professionals and the public in English, Spanish and selected Asian languages (Vietnamese, Chinese & Korean). The purpose of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteer at Hawaii State Hospital is to help the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital staff in its efforts to reduce spread of COVID-19 at the Hospital and in the community we serve. The volunteer will also help with efforts to inform staff, patients, family members of patients, and others in the Hospital's service community on how they can help reduce risk of spreading or contracting COVID-19. Volunteers will help by using, modeling, informing and educating staff and others at the Hospital in safe physical distancing ("social distancing" six feet or more), using electronic communications and internet-based group communications apps to hold meetings, practicing hand hygiene, and special infection control measures to prevent transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Volunteer roles may include, as needed:

• Assist Hospital Administration sort, convey and communicate incoming CDC, DOH and other COVID-19 information
• Assist with written communication

Interprets Hawaiian ethnobotany and conserves Hawaiian traditions relating to horticultural practices and land use. Covers twelve acres and includes a five acre archaeological remnant of the prehistoric agricultural zone that once dominated the Kona district. Collection includes agricultural cultivars and plants introduced by the Polynesians, as well as a collection of nearly one hundred native Hawaiian plants.
