Interprets Hawaiian ethnobotany and conserves Hawaiian traditions relating to horticultural practices and land use. Covers twelve acres and includes a five acre archaeological remnant of the prehistoric agricultural zone that once dominated the Kona district. Collection includes agricultural cultivars and plants introduced by the Polynesians, as well as a collection of nearly one hundred native Hawaiian plants.
Located just south of mile marker 110 on Hwy 11 in South Kona.

Visitors to Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden explore the world of ethnobotany--the traditions of the Hawaiian people and their plants. The Garden serves over 18000 people a year, including school visits, internships, workshops, events, and outreach. The Garden is owned and operated by Bishop Museum.
