Hale Naau Pono SNAP outreach program assists you in-person or over the phone in completing and submitting an application or a renewal form to a Department of Human Services Processing Center. In addition, the Outreach workers help recipeints to maintain their benefits and provide follow up (in most situations) on case status if needed.

ISG offers an array of support services and product sales (assistive technology) for people who are blind or experience low vision, are deaf or are hard of hearing, or have a speech disability. ISG is a local distributor for many key mainland manufacturers of high and low technology such as desktop and portable video magnifiers, screen reading computer programs, and many other low vision aids. ISG sells and services assistive listening and alerting devices such as FM listening systems and telephone/doorbell alerting systems. ISG conducts assessment with people with disabilities to evaluate their need for assistive technology that can aid in one's productivity for independent living or employment. ISG coordinates services from a fully accessible, model home in Honolulu where an array of technology is on display for people to "try before you buy". ISG hosts the Assistive Technology User Group meetings.

Residents of Maui who were affected by the August 8, 2023 wildfires and received an initial rental assistance from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may be eligible for continued rental assistance. To be eligible for continued rental assistance, you must have used your initial rental assistance as intended, and: -you must be unable to return to your pre-disaster residence because it is uninhabitable, cannot be accessed or is unavailable as a result of the wildfires -you cannot pay for housing without assistance -you are not receiving temporary housing help from any other source. -You also need to develop a long-term housing plan and be able to demonstrate progress toward one If you need continued rental assistance, you must complete an Application for Continued Temporary Housing Assistance. -Homeowners: If your FEMA-verified Real Property Loss exceeds the amount of the initial Rental Assistance awarded, the Application for Continued Temporary Housing Assistance will automatically be mailed to you after you have received the initial Rental Assistance award. -Homeowners: If the Real Property Loss does not exceed the amount of the initial Rental Assistance, you will need to call FEMA’s Helpline to request the application. -Renters: You will need to request the Continued Temporary Housing Assistance Request form by calling FEMA’s Helpline. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.
