(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (IIH, Intensive in Home) This program provides mental health services for children/adolescents who have serious emotional and behavioral disorders. Program staff work with the family to stabilize and preserve their capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the current living environment and to prevent the need for placement outside the home. Intensive In-Home Mental Health Treatment Services for children, youth, and families who require a higher level of care than office-based services, but who do not require residential or hospital level care.

Pa'a Hana, located in Kapaa, is a residential home for homeless adults with physical challenge.

(Alzheimers Related Disease Respite) Provides respite care for persons with Alzheimer's disease, stroke and other related disabilities. May accept incontinent patients. Does not administer medications. All involved people bring their own lunch.

Pacific Birth Collective provides mother-baby supplies distribution including diapers, formula, hygiene items, etc. We accept donations of diapers, wipes, formula, etc.

Provides residential refuse collection service. Operates and maintains solid waste disposal facilities. Plans, designs, constructs, inspects and monitors all county solid waste projects. Establishes recycling programs to minimize landfills.

(Kau Family Health and Dental Center) Provides general family medical care including treatment for illnesses and minor injuries and behavioral health services. Offers physical exams, family planning services including birth control information. Routine dental care, call for details.

(HMSA) Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) Centers and offices offer in-person customer service to members and employers with an HMSA health plan as well as individuals who are looking to enroll in an HMSA plan. Offers medical, dental, vision, and drug health care plans to individuals and employers. Plan options include fee-for-service, preferred provider organization, health maintenance organization and plans for students, self-employed and Medicare supplement.

Provides congregate meals program for persons aged 60 and over at several Senior Center sites around the island. Includes leisure and socialization activities, along with nutrition education sessions. Provides lunches to those persons who are homebound due to illness, and/or are unable to prepare meals.
