(Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

The Hawaii Health and Harm Reduction Center works to educate the community on how to prevent overdose, recognize the signs of overdose, and treat someone experiencing an overdose. The medication Naloxone has proven to stop the effects of opioid overdose and save lives, and is legal to carry in the state of Hawaii. Our naloxone program is free and anonymous, and available on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii Island.

Straub Urologists diagnose and treat disorders of the urinary tract in adults and children. The department provides medical and surgical treatment for incontinence, prostate problems, disorders of voiding, kidney stones, infertility, impotence and genitourinary malignancies. Diagnoses and treats sexual problems with focus on promoting healthy sexual functioning. Treatment may include interview, exam by physician, lab tests, medical or surgical treatment and sex therapy.

Awards contracts to service providers in the community who have shown the ability and willingness to deliver quality programs efficiently. Provides technical assistance and monitors and evaluates their performance. Coordinates the administration of services with other agencies. Coordinates training programs for those who provide services to older persons. Assures older persons in Hawaii County of convenient access to information and referral services and disability parking permits.

City and County of Honolulu's Department of Community Services is now accepting pre-eligibility inquiries for home loans up to $40,000. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. (TRY, TRY Center, Community Teen Program - KPT - Middle and High School) Parents And Children Together's Community Tenacious Rooted Youth (TRY) Centers in Kuhio Park Terrace and Puuwai Momi public housing provides comprehensive development programs for youth who live in and around the housing complexes. After school programs promote the development of youth, families, and communities by providing educational activities and experiences including STEM projects, sports and recreation, community service, skill building, and support services. Programs support the growth and development of our youth by teaching leadership and life skills and encouraging positive experiences as alternatives to drugs and gangs. TRY Center activities are free and open to family residents of public housing complexes in the respective areas. Opens at 1:30 pm on Wednesdays during the school year. Extended hours offered during summer and school intersessions. Intake form is good for 1 year.

Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.
