Residential Substance Abuse Treatment

Operates a comprehensive treatment program for chemically dependent adult men and women. Length of stay varies, based upon the severity of addiction and response to treatment. Includes individual, group, family counseling, and psycho-educational skill building seminars. Family participation is strongly encouraged. Operates an after-care program for former clients.

Volunteer Services Program

Welcomes and accepts volunteers (including high school students, college students, working adults and senior retirees). Volunteers assist Health System employees with acute care, long-term care and geriatric care. Duties range from clerical support to companionship activities within nursing home residents or patient assistance at the medical center. Volunteers also participate in hospital tours for visitors. Volunteers are accepted year round. Upon acceptance into the program, volunteers attend a general orientation given by the supervisor of their assigned department. Most volunteers work one to two times a week and a minimum of three hours a shift. Weekends are available.

Puunui Community Park

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports. Provides housing, case management, and nutrition services to Hawaii residents on Island of Oahu with disabilities, including HIV/AIDS and have very low income. Housing services include transitional shelter, short-term rent assistance, utility assistance, security deposit assistance, and rental subsidy programs. Case management is provided in conjunction with housing assistance. Nutritional services includes grocery distribution, home delivery to the house bound, and twice weekly hot lunches.

They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

City and County of Honolulu Down Payment Loan Program

City and County of Honolulu's Department of Community Services is now accepting pre-eligibility inquiries for home loans up to $40,000. Families earning up to 80% of Honolulu’s area median income can qualify. Loans will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified Oʻahu residents. Step 1 – If you appear eligible, the lender will be asked to list the City's Down Payment loan of $40,000 (or less) as "subordinate financing" on your Uniform Residental Loan Application (commonly referred to as a Fannie Mae Form 1003 or Freddie Mac Form 65). Step 2 – After initial loan approval from your first mortgage lender, the lender will be asked to submit electronic copies of your loan application and supporting documents to the City. The City will use copies of the lender's finalized loan forms and supporting documentation to approve the Down Payment loan.
