(American Liver Foundation, American Liver Foundation, Pacific Coast and Hawaii Division) The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is a non-profit organization promoting liver health and disease prevention, including hepatitis. ALF advocates for liver patients and their families; funds research efforts directed toward the prevention, cure, and treatment of liver diseases; hosts free educational seminars for healthcare providers and the general public; provides support for liver patients through the new liver buddies mentoring program; and provides information on liver health and liver disease.
