Program for families of prenatal moms, infants and toddlers called “Parents As Teachers,” or PAT - a home-based program for families that begins before your keiki is born until a keiki turns three. Through home visits, we support parents with practical, research-based strategies and activities to support the importance of enhancing school readiness during these critical and formative years of a keiki’s life. These strategies enhance parent child interactions, strengthen ohana relationships and support parents in being their keiki’s first and most influential teacher. Literacy is a major focus of PAT, books are used in every visit. The “Parents as Teachers” Foundational Curriculum is provided through supportive certified PAT parent educator’s home visits and screenings in assisting parents in understanding the latest neuroscience research and how it relates to their keiki. Prevents and suppresses outbreaks of vector-borne diseases and serious vector nuisances through inspections, surveillance, monitoring, enforcement, consultation and education in the control of harmful vermin such as insects that bite or are a public nuisance such as ants, sand flies, and other insects. Feeding Pets of the Homeless assists with emergency veterinary care for pets whose owners are experiencing homelessness. All new requests for assistance are now submitted through our online application: https://petsofthehomeless.org/emergency-veterinary-care/ Applications are reviewed Monday–Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (PST), excluding holidays. If you have limited access to the internet, many public libraries, shelters, and resource centers offer free computer or mobile access. A trusted advocate or case worker may also assist you in completing the application. If approved, we will provide instructions for scheduling care with a participating veterinary clinic. You contribute what you are able to at the appointment, and we help cover the remaining eligible costs. Important: Services may be declined based on eligibility criteria, missed appointments, service limitations, specific procedures, or funding availability. (Emergency Food Pantry) Eleele Baptist Church distributes bags of food to those that are in need on a first come, first served basis. Operates three core divisions: Fisheries Habitat (Environmental) Protection, Recreational Fisheries, and Commercial Fisheries and Aquaculture. Protects, enhances and conserves state fishery resources. Issues commercial fishing licenses, scientific collecting, and permits for aquatic life. Establishes and manages statewide system of Marine Life Conservation Districts (marine preserves). Monitors harvest of ornamental fisheries for use in aquariums or offered for sale through pet shops. Participates in interagency efforts to preserve threatened and endangered species. Researches activities related to program purposes through staff and outside agencies. Provides technical guidance on probable impacts to fish, projects, project developers and permitting authorities. Provides public information on fishing and Hawaii's marine life. Accepts reports of any aquatic animal in fresh or salt water.

(WAP) Assists qualifying households to reduce utility costs by providing a variety of energy efficient measures--including LED light bulbs, ENERGY STAR appliances, solar water heaters, energy-efficient showerheads, faucets aerators, and more--free of charge. (LITFP) The Low Income Transit Fare Program (LITFP) provides a discounted transit fare for income qualifying individuals. Applications accepted on a first come, first served basis. The LITFP program runs on the City and County of Honolulu's fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th), so clients will need to reapply ever fiscal year. The HOLO card may be prepaid or reloaded on a monthly basis. Do no apply if you a person with Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
