Eligibility
Minimum age: 15 years and 6 months. Applicants 15 years and 6 months - 17 years, must wait 90 days before eligible to take a road test. Must be at least 16 years of age to apply for license. Driver Education and Behind the Wheel certification required prior to road test examination. Must pass written, road and vision tests. Must not have had license revoked by court. Need to bring licensed driver with registered vehicle and no-fault insurance card at time of road test.

(Drivers Licensing - Hilo) Administers written and road tests for driver's license for automobiles, buses, mopeds, motorcycles, motorscooters, and trucks over 11,000 GVWR. Issues commercial driver's licenses and permits. Obtain state ID cards. Receives international and local driver's license inquiries. Receives Financial Responsibility SR-22 insurance forms for license suspensions by the court or through Administrative Revocation.
