Malu Aina is a spiritual community based on peace, justice and sustainable organic farming. Volunteers receive a valuable experience in organic farming, aquaculture, and peace and justice advocacy. Life on the farm involves physical labor, simple living, and community engagement on issues of justice and peace. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables are grown to share freely with people in need, and we are also a regional food bank emergency pantry.

Kealia Pond Visitor center is a National Wildlife Refuge that has permanent and seasonal exhibits relating to Hawaiian waterbirds. There is a small nature store that supports the Friend's group. No dogs or pets allowed.

(Ko'olauloa Health Center) Provides health screening such as blood pressure screening, blood tests, breast examinations, chest x-rays, drug/alcohol testing, hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, psychological testing, sexually transmitted disease screening, etc. Other services include flu shots, information and referral, immunizations, well baby care, dental care, health education and more. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. (ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservation for the Pearl Harbor locations.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. (Hawaii Relief Program) Vibrant Hawaii is helping people to complete the Hawaii Relief Program applications. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Prevents and suppresses outbreaks of vector-borne diseases and serious vector nuisances through inspections, surveillance, monitoring, enforcement, consultation and education in the control of harmful vermin such as insects that bite or are a public nuisance such as ants, sand flies, and other insects. Also gives public advice on small animals and insects causing a problem in or near a home or building such as mice, roaches, flies, gnats, mites, rats, and nesting birds. Provides information on immediate care of an animal of any type in distress as well as the closest place you can take it to be cared for. We do not have a licensed veterinarian on premises and do appreciate any donation help if you can afford it but there is no fee for any service we provide, no matter what it costs us to get help.

(PATCH POD Program) The Preschool Open Doors (POD) program provides families with low and moderate incomes subsidies to send their children to preschool for up to two years prior to entering kindergarten.

Administers statewide system of commercial harbors consisting of seven deep draft and two medium draft harbors. The seven deep draft ports serving the State are Honolulu and Barbers Point on the island of Oahu, Port Allen and Nawiliwili on the island of Kauai, Kahului on the island of Maui, and Hilo and Kawaihae on the island of Hawaii. The medium draft facilities are Kewalo Basin on Oahu and Kaunakakai on Molokai. Also responds to harbor complaints.

Provides tutors for English-speaking adults in basic reading and writing. Trains volunteers to teach those adults. Tutor and student meet twice per week in a public location of their choice.

Operates three core divisions: Fisheries Habitat (Environmental) Protection, Recreational Fisheries, and Commercial Fisheries and Aquaculture. Provides technical guidance on probable impacts to fish, projects, project developers and permitting authorities. Provides public information on fishing and Hawaii's marine life. Accepts reports of any aquatic animal in fresh or salt water.

(Community Services) Church of Seventh-Day Adventist distributes food to the needy. Some toiletries (soap, tooth brushes, tooth paste, diapers, and items that are donated ) a provided when they are available. Church of Seventh-Day Adventist accepts donated personal grooming supplies.
