The Community Teen Program provides Out-of-school Time services (OST) for youth ages 5-18 who live in and around the public housing complex Kuhio Park Terrace in Kalihi. This programs promote the development of healthy youth with an abundance of positive experiences for youth including educational, recreational, skill building, social emotional learning, community building and support services. Opens at 1:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year. Extended hours offered during summer and school intersessions. Intake form is good for 1 year.

Provides correctional care and custody of adult law offenders committed by the courts to serve sentences and arrested persons unable to make bail.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church provides a food pantry for those in need. Dates are subject to change please call for information. For holidays the pantry is usually on Thursday the week before the holiday.

Operates family and personal enrichment programs, family advocacy program and new parent support group. Offers relocation assistance: pre + post move assistance. New arrivals orientation, temporary loan of basic household items. Offers Employment Assistance: job listings and referrals, employment and personal workshops, resumes. Offers Volunteer Opportunities: Exceptional Family Member Program for special needs family members. Personal Financial Management Program: budget counseling investment strategies. Retired Activities Program: provides assistance and information to military retirees and their families.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

Provides counseling services to juveniles who are at risk and beyond parental control. Refers client to professional agencies and therapist if needed.

Distributes food to those in need. Does not deliver food. Limited to one request for food per month (You cannot pick up food and then return on the same day to pick up again).

Offers rewards of up to $1000 to tipster who give information that leads to arrest or indictment of persons committing crimes or for the recovery of stolen property. All calls are confidential. Different unsolved crimes will be publicized in paper or television. Also accepts information on missing persons.

The national Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH) is a program of the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) administered by Vibrant Emotional Health (formerly the Mental Health Association of New York City) that offers 24/7 crisis counseling and emotional support to anyone in the US/territories experiencing distress or other behavioral health concerns related to natural or human-caused disasters. Callers and texters are connected to trained counselors from a network of independently-operated crisis centers across the country. Services are available to people who are Deaf or hard of hearing via the DDH Videophone for American Sign Language (ASL) users. The DDH also offers peer support communities through private Facebook groups where people across the U.S. impacted by disasters can connect with others from similar backgrounds/experiences for mutual aid and support during recovery. Assisting in helping those interested in running a child care business to becoming licensed by the State of Hawaii. Providing guidance regarding setting up a child care business. Providing free training on child development, nutrition, health and safety issues. Providing information about resources available to providers, such as the USDA Child Care Food Program that assists in paying for meals served in daycare. Referring parents who are looking for child care to licensed child care providers. Maintaining connections with child care providers, professional child care associations, and other child care professionals as well as helping others build those relationships in the community.
