(Puuhonua Prison Program - Pre/Post-Release Assistance to Oahu Offenders, Pu'uhonua Prison Program - Pre/Post-Release Assistance to Oahu Offenders) Puuhonua Prison Program helps incarcerated men and women navigate through the challenges of re-entering society, which includes avoiding homelessness, becoming rehabilitated, securing employment, and avoiding recidivism. Program participants receive help obtaining MedQUEST health insurance, SNAP/financial assistance, Goodwill clothing vouchers, bus passes, and referrals to shelter/housing resources and prospective employers. Puuhonua staff meet with offenders on-site at Oahu’s correctional facilities and also provide support post-release. The Hawaii Workers Center (HWC) opened the Kokua Fund applications for one-time financial assistance of $100 - $500 for workers impacted by the storms. Call or email for an initial screening. Applications will be sent out after the screening.

The Army Community Services's Mobilization, Deployment and Stability Support Operations program helps support community readiness during deployments and emergencies. Helps make sure installation programs align with unit deployment cycles, provide pre- and post-deployment support, and help unit commanders with their family readiness plans and deployment support services for service members and their families. Responsible for operating an Emergency Family Assistance Center in the case of an all-hazards event, and supporting service members and families during Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) and Repatriation. Acts as a case manager for all requests for assistance through the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS).

Maintains registry of Alzheimer's patients. Provides a nationwide 24-hour, toll free 800 number to contact when someone is lost or found. E Ala Hou is a specialized substance abuse treatment program for pregnant and parenting women. The program provides such services as: -Screening and assessments -Individual and group counseling -Outpatient and aftercare services -Motivational Enhancement -Collaborate with community resources -Transportation to group activities -Childcare for children while mothers are in treatment services The goal of the program is to reduce the severity and disabling effects of alcohol and other drugs on high risk pregnant and parenting women and their children. E Ala Hou provides tailored services to meet the specific and critical needs of pregnant and parenting women. Childcare provided as needed.
