(Donation campaign) Hawaiian Council launched Kakoo Mai, a coordinated effort to deliver immediate relief and ongoing support to those affected by this disaster. Kakoo Mai is a donation campaign to aid communities and individuals impacted by the floods and weather events beginning in March 2026. Funding will support evolving needs, including providing housing stability services, financial assistance, and other services to support impacted communities. Donations will be matched. Jewish Community Services of Hawaii provides case management, crisis intervention and referrals to resources. Services are provided through Zoom meetings, phone, and some home visiting. We have staff on Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu.

(Ola I Ka Hana Youth Program - Kona) Program for low-income at at-risk youth who are in or out of school. Help with building skills to obtain a High School Equivalency or GED, exploring post-secondary education, and employment exploration.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. The Friends' mission is to generate community support for cancer research and education to prevent and reduce cancer-related deaths as well as improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with cancer. The Friends organization was established to support the Cancer Center in their quest to prevent and find cures for cancer in Hawaii. This includes the Center’s education and outreach programs for those battling cancer, and family and friends who care or are caregivers. The Friends respond to and fulfill the UH Cancer Center's need for private funds to supplement federal and state resources by coordinating fundraising events and conducting an annual friendship drive to give people like you the opportunity to play a vital role in the fight against cancer. United Way of America is the national organization dedicated to leading the United Way movement in making a measurable impact in every community in America. The United Way movement includes approximately 1,400 community-based United Way organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated and governed by local volunteers.

LDAH provides mentoring, technical assistance and training to parents/families of children with disabilities or suspected disabilities in special education.

Provides an emergency food pantry for those in need once a month. Annunciation Catholic Church food pantry will be open the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas 2025.

(Walgreens Pharmacies) Call to check for vaccine availability, costs or other restrictions. Must present photo ID and insurance card. Vaccines for: Cholera, COVID-19 vaccine for adults, Flu shot, Hep A vaccine, Hep B vaccine, Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine, Meningitis vaccine, MMR vaccine, Monkeypox, Pneumonia vaccine, Polio vaccine, Rabies vaccine, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Shingles vaccine, Tdap vaccine, Tick-Borne Encephalitis, Typhoid vaccine, and Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.

(Hawaii County PAL) Provides athletic programs and counseling for children under 17 years of age who have behavioral problems and tending towards crime.

Ensures that members of the uniformed services do not lose their jobs and other employment benefits because of military service.

Care Coordinators work directly with the patient to identify their areas of concern, develop a care plan to achieve their health goals, and provide education about different healthcare services (community resources, behavioral health, nutrition, pain specialists, legal and financial resources, educational assistance, etc.)

(MEO) Provides accessible transportation service for the youth, elderly, disabled, and general public of Maui County. Services include non-emergency medical transport, demand response, and specialized service to also include 'fee-for-service" operations.

Administers full-service general hospital, skilled nursing facility and outpatient medical care. Offers outpatient care in a variety of specialties including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and industrial medicine. Specialty Clinic services (General Medicine and Family Practice services are not routinely available at the Medical Center).

Donate items to Goodwill Industries of Hawaii. The donation center is located in the parking lot near the Popeyes drive-thru.

Provides social services and help with resettlement. Provides social and cultural support to all Khmer refugees and interpreters in Khmer language.

(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Credit - Lanai, LIHEAP, LIHEAP EC) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) is a federal program that provides qualifying low-income households with a one-time credit to offset household energy costs. Applications for this program are only accepted during the month of June. The amount of the credit varies each year and is based on the total number of people living in the house. Applicants must have an active electric account and are required to submit a current electric bill. Applicants may apply, once per program year for one of the two types of credit: Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI).

(Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. Accepts information on missing persons. HPD does not handle driver's licensing or motor vehicle registration, abandoned vehicles or safety inspections (these are provided by Department of Finance, Motor Vehicle & Licensing Division).
