Whether supporting large-scale events at the Hookupu Center or preparing daily meals for the Kupu Community Program, Kupu provides participants with industry-aligned training that promotes youth empowerment, job readiness, and workforce development within Hawaii’s growing green economy. The Kupu Culinary Program has responded to disasters in the form of providing meals to those in need. In addition to technical culinary training, participants strengthen essential soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork, equipping them to transition successfully into long-term employment or further educational opportunities in the culinary or service industries.

The Army Community Services's Mobilization, Deployment and Stability Support Operations program helps support community readiness during deployments and emergencies. Helps make sure installation programs align with unit deployment cycles, provide pre- and post-deployment support, and help unit commanders with their family readiness plans and deployment support services for service members and their families. Responsible for operating an Emergency Family Assistance Center in the case of an all-hazards event, and supporting service members and families during Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) and Repatriation. Acts as a case manager for all requests for assistance through the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS).

Honolulu Habitat for Humanity helps families build, purchase or repair their own homes. Families work alongside volunteers. The programs are financed through Honolulu Habitat's low to no interest mortgage program. Builds and renovates homes using volunteer labor and donated materials, at no profit and no interest. Homeowners repay the cost over a fixed time period; payments are recycled to build more homes. It requires homeowners to participate in construction as well as help other prospective homeowners build theirs. NIH Osteoporosis and Related Bone Diseases National Resource Center is a service provided by the National Institutes of Health. Provides written material on osteoporosis to patients, health professionals and the public in English, Spanish and selected Asian languages (Vietnamese, Chinese & Korean). Also carries materials on other metabolic bone diseases such as Paget's Disease and Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Does not provide counseling over the phone.

(Tutus Closet) Tutu's closet is a free mini thrift shop held only on 7/18/15 (Saturday) that provides household items, clothes, children's clothing for school, shoes. There will also be applications there for other programs such as Head Start. Accepts donations of items that can be dropped off at the office.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk.
