(Kupu Culinary Social Enterprise, Kupu Grinds, Kupu Culinary, Hookupu Center Catering) The Kupu Culinary Program provides hands-on experience for participants to interact with the food and beverage industry through catering services, event handling, and operating the Kupu Food Truck. Whether supporting large-scale events at the Hookupu Center or preparing daily meals for the Kupu Community Program, Kupu provides participants with industry-aligned training that promotes youth empowerment, job readiness, and workforce development within Hawaii’s growing green economy. The Kupu Culinary Program has responded to disasters in the form of providing meals to those in need. In addition to technical culinary training, participants strengthen essential soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork, equipping them to transition successfully into long-term employment or further educational opportunities in the culinary or service industries.
