Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

(Workers Compensation) The Hawaii WC law was enacted in 1915, and its purpose was to provide wage loss compensation and medical care to those employees who suffer a work-related injury.

We support, educate and advocate for choice at the end of life. We support individuals as they navigate their way through the health care system. We support legislation relating to choice in dying as well as work to stop legislation that restricts choice. We advocate for those whose end-of-life wishes are not being followed. We provide state-specific advance directives and information on how to complete these documents. Proponents of aid in dying for incurable and terminally ill mentally competent persons, requesting aid in dying to achieve a peaceful death.

Holds jury trials and has general jurisdiction in Civil and Criminal cases. Has exclusive jurisdiction in Probate, Guardianship, and Criminal felony cases, as well as Civil cases where the contested amount exceeds $20,000. Shares concurrent jurisdiction with the District Court in Civil non-jury cases that specify amounts between $10,000 - 20,000. Conducts a drug court program, in which defendants are placed in drug rehabilitation programs instead of prison. Operation Search is the Department's campaign to find children who may need special education services but who are not receiving them at this time. Informs families of the learning potential of children with disabilities. Instructs families on how to obtain services from agencies. Informs parents about the early warning signs of disabilities.

(CFS Gerontology Program - Ohana Care) Caregivers who provide the primary care to individuals who are disabled, frail, and/or isolated residents on Oahu, who are 60 years of age or older, on an as needed basis are eligible for case management, counseling, and training services. Training topics may include: ADL/ADL limitations, caregiver’s role, disease prevention and remediation, access to available resources, stages of disease and options/ referrals in legal or financial related matters, RCI-REACH, and Arthritis Foundation related training. Staff will also provide information and referral sources when needed. Designed to improve the quality of life for families, care receivers, and caregivers by offering a continuum of quality care that is flexible and individualized in order to prolong the care giving relationship. The program actively assists the care receiver and the caregiver in implementing an individualized, strengths based service plan on how to reduce stress and link with the appropriate community resources. The program also provides supportive counseling.
