The Armed Services YMCA of Honolulu provides innovative and quality social, educational, and recreational programs to meet the needs of military service members and their families in the state of Hawaii. The ASYMCA is committed to promoting its goals of strengthening military families, supporting healthy lifestyles, reducing isolation and assisting service members and their families in connecting to their community. Provides a variety of programs for military families including family outreach services, food pantry and craft classes. Accepts volunteers to assist with answering the telephone, customer service, cleaning, decorating for special events and assisting with children 5 years old and below. Provides drop-in child care for military families when they have medical/doctor appointments, services are offered at Tripler and Schofield facilities.

Provides support and comfort care through a combination of in-home nursing and an extensive network of support services. -CDC program is a year-long program that includes dietary coaching and moderate physical activity. -consists of 16 core sessions over the course of the first six months, followed by less-intesive classes held monthly for the rest o the year-long program. -currculum classes are augmented with free cooking demos, demonstration of simple exercises, opportunities for activities like walking with Health Educator and Community Helth Worker, referrals to other resources in the community, relaxation techniques, and incentive gifts. -goals are to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes among those wo are at high risk for diabetes, cut one's risk of developing diabetes in half by losing 5-7% of their body weight through healthier eating and engaging in 150 minutes of physical activity each week.

Medicab provides a door to door transportation service for people who need assistance or need to be escorted, usually to a doctor or medical facility. Drivers are trained how to communicate and assist elderly and disabled people. The driver does not lift, carry or push anyone. Drivers do sign out customers from the hospital and assist (guide by hand) people in and out of the vehicle COVID-19 patients are asked to sit at the back seat with their masks on. The driver drives with the windows down for full ventilation.

HUGS's provides peer support opportunities for enrolled HUGS families through monthly gatherings, including family events, Mom’s Nights, Dad’s Nights, and other activities that foster connection and reduce isolation. Referral, application, and intake assessment are required.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: fall, spring and summer. Activities are for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides residential refuse collection service. Operates and maintains solid waste disposal facilities. Plans, designs, constructs, inspects and monitors all county solid waste projects. Establishes recycling programs to minimize landfills.

The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Provides home care services to homebound patients: skilled nursing, occupational therapy, medical social services, home health aides, physical therapy and speech therapy. Offers intravenous therapy (i.e., fluids, antibiotics, nutritional fluids), wound care, teaching patient and/or family member appropriate skills to care for self or patient. Aides assist with bathing, ambulation, feeding, light housekeeping.

In Puna on Hawaii Island, Native Hawaiian culturally based intensive outpatient and outpatient program provided.
