Lokahi Treatment Centers (LTC) provides a highly structured environment that is centered on personal responsibility, individual dignity, and self-esteem. At LTC, our goal is to provide our clients with a continuum of care to meet them right where they are and guide them through a world of new choices. LTC provides identical services at all five (5) of our offices in Hilo, Kona, Kohala, Honoka'a & Waikoloa. Provides food pantry, clothing, hygiene supplies, medications and clothing to those in need. Serve meals before the food pantry. Every Sunday, church shows a movie, they provide a snack as well during the movie.

Provides an array of family skill building, child abuse and neglect prevention services within the Kalihi. Both Centers offer information and referral. Both Family Centers focus on parents, school and community involvement to work together to improve academic achievement for children. The Center also offers opportunities to prevent homelessness, promote literacy and English language skills, and build employment skills through volunteer opportunities. Families and individuals may use the Computer Technology Centers to access their email and internet, type or print documents. (Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi) We provide disease prevention and health promotion services through advocacy, accessibility, and education. We offer Case Management Services (such as home visits to conduct blood pressure checks, glucose checks, assistance with applications for medical insurance), and referrals to other health-related agencies. We also provide Health Education (Diabetes, Hypertension, Nutrition, and Tobacco Cessation), Traditional Healing Workshops and Classes, as well as one-to-one services by referral. Specialty Transportation provided to medical-related appointments (based on needs and availability)- for individuals restricted to a wheelchair or gurney.

The investigations office for Hawaii operates a hotline to report welfare fraud, people who have unreported income and other violations, for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and general assitance program. Callers does not have to give their name. All reports are investigated.

(The Emergency Food Assistance Program, TEFAP) Offers emergency food assistance (canned goods, dry goods, water, clothing, toiletries and miscellaneous items) upon product availability. For November and December 2025 on the days before and after the holidays the pantry will be closed.

Offers and provides a comprehensive program of educational, health, and social services to income or categorically-eligible children and families in order to promote school readiness. -Early Head Start - provides prenatal support services to expectant mothers and their families, as well as educational services for children zero to three years of age through islandwide home-based home visiting. -Head Start - provides preschool educational services to children three to five years-old through center and home-based options islandwide. Parents are the key to success in Head Start and Early Head Start. As members of the Parent Committees and Head Start Policy Council, parents help decide how the program is operated. Parents are invited to volunteer in all phases of the Head Start program at any time.

(Hawaii Copd Coalition) Hawaii Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (HiCOPD) Coalition was formed in 2007 to provide services and improve treatment of Hawaii adults diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and its related disorders. Program serves patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and others offering free lung health information, free paper and pen screening tests, tobacco cessation information, monthly support group meetings, presentations on COPD, advocacy, training for volunteers/healthcare workers about COPD and Smoking Cessation counseling, information sharing of licensure for Hawaii’s respiratory therapists which has successfully led to licensing. Molokai Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church. We have an emergency food pantry and limited supply of clothing. The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box.
