Helping Hands Hawaii is helping to collect donations to distribute to persons affected by the Kona Low on March 2026. We are currently accepting new/unopened donations of essential household and personal care items, including: -Hygiene items and feminine products -Diapers and pull-ups (all sizes) and wipes -Phone chargers and portable battery banks -Laundry detergent and dish soap -Shoes and boots -Towels and bedding (including blankets) -Cookware, dishware, and utensils -Gift cards for flexible support At this time, larger furniture items are not needed, as many affected areas are still in the cleanup phase following the storm. Susannah Wesley Community Center (SWCC) operates a multi-service center with services and programs for youth, families, individuals, newcomers, senior citizens, and other residents of Kalihi-Palama. Camp Imua has been a place where children ages 6 years old - 16 years old with a range of special needs or disabilities can enjoy a week of recreational experiences allowing them to be themselves in a supportive and inclusive environment free from judgment. Campers participate and enjoy a range of activities like horseback riding, swimming, surfing, kayaking, hiking, arts and crafts, music, dance, tumbling, and ice cream social, a glow party, concerts, a talent show, outdoor movies, helicopter tours, zip-lining, climbing and much more!

Disability and Communication Access Board reviews and assesses the problems, needs, services and resources in the State of Hawaii including, but not limited to, employment, education, social services, civil rights, public facilities, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation and recreation. (MEO) Works with people who have bad credit, no credit, low-income, and no measurable assets to provide assistance and guidance in the loan application process through loan approval from our Internal and External Loan Committees. Small business loans range from $500 to $10,000 to be used for startup operations or the expansion of an existing small business. Step loans are available after six months of on-time payments. A borrower can seek an additional $25,000 for expansion. Emergency loans ranging from $200 to $2000 are also available.
