The Armed Services YMCA of Honolulu provides innovative and quality social, educational, and recreational programs to meet the needs of military service members and their families in the state of Hawaii. The ASYMCA is committed to promoting its goals of strengthening military families, supporting healthy lifestyles, reducing isolation and assisting service members and their families in connecting to their community. Operates a thrift store selling low cost clothing, furniture, household goods, toys and more. Proceeds benefit vocational training and job placement programs for people with barriers to employment.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade public elementary school students who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose, open pavilion building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. Cancer Survivors Network: Online community created for survivors and caregivers to connect with others, visit www.cancer.org Gift Items: A limited supply of wigs, hats, turbans, scarves and breast prostheses are available by appointment. These items are received by the local offices by donations from others and through our TLC Catalog. Support Groups: The office is a clearinghouse of information on local self-help and support groups that provide emotional and educational help. Patients and caregivers also are invited to visit the Cancer Survivors' Network at www.cancer.org . Relay For Life: You are invited to attend Relay For Life, our annual event to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and give everyone the opportunity to fight back against cancer. We encourage all survivors to attend this fun, uplifting event.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Immigration and Refugee Services helps with documentation, housing assistance, food, etc. There is current agency recognition and staff accreditation by the Board of Immigration Appeals of the Department of Justice. Pacific Gateway Center's Immigration and Refugee Services helps with case management for pre-immigration through arrival. Newly-arrived Ukrainian families are welcome to call us for consultation on legal immigration and social services.

Collects State taxes. Provides information and assistance on preparation of tax forms. Issues general excise tax licenses. Furnishes State tax forms.

Provides assistance to Spanish citizens visiting or living in Hawaii (medical problems, legal issues, etc.). Provides information for potential visitors to Spain.

Offers weekly individual or group counseling focused on teaching independent living skills for youth aged 12 to 25. Maintains a training apartments from young men aged 17.5 to 19 who are in transition from foster care, group homes, shelters or institutions and also a home for young women transitioning out of foster care to independent living (training apartment participants are expected to have jobs and pay for rent and food). Also a home for pregnant and parenting teens.

Shares the traditions and cultural heritage of circus and vaudeville. Teaches juggling and other performance skills to children and adults.

Offers career and employment counseling. Provides career planning and employment preparation. Offers work experience referrals and career and employment workshop activities.
