SERVICES: For a $25.00 annual membership fee, FFB offers information and referral services for affected individuals and their families as well as for doctors and eye care professionals. The Foundation also provides comprehensive information kits on retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and usher syndrome. Our newsletter, InFocus, and our e-newsletter, InFocus online, present articles on coping, research updates, and Foundation news. Autism Society of Hawaii provides advocacy, outreach, and support through programs to individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their friends and family.

The Employment Readiness Program offers information and referral services as well as assistance in the areas of employment, and training. (MDA Summer Camp) Each summer, kids and young adults with neuromuscular disease attend overnight camps around the United States at no cost to their families. (WWWBWS) Hawaii Agricultural Foundation provides teacher workshops in partnership with the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) and are free for HIDOE members. Teacher trainings happen throughout the school year (once or twice a year). Dates for trainings are listed on our website and space is limited. Attending teachers receive the Where Would We Be Without Seeds curriculum along with classroom supplies. Those who implement the program with students are also eligible for a HAF-sponsored field trip to a local agricultural site. Where Would We Be Without Seeds is a standards-based curriculum that introduces elementary students to the fundamentals of agriculture through interactive lessons. Students explore how seeds grow into the foods we eat, why farmers are vital to our communities, and how agriculture sustains Hawaii’s future. By making the connection between the classroom and the land, the program inspires curiosity and respect for farming at an early age.
