(ORL Processing Center) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Serves as a liaison between the District Health Office and the central vital records office of the Department of Health in Honolulu. Provides order forms for vital records of birth, death, marriage and divorce. Applications for license to perform marriage ceremonies. For individuals impacted by the Maui Wildfires who need replacement vital records, an order may be placed online at https://vitrec.ehawaii.gov or call (808) 586-4602 or (808) 984-2400 ext. 6-4602. A relative may make the order on behalf of the person needing the replacement by uploading a copy of their own government ID (if born in Hawaii) to establish a relationship to the impacted individual. If not born in Hawai‘i, additional documents may need to be shown to verify the relationship. Permitted relatives can include a grandparent, parent, child, sibling, aunt, uncle, or cousin. The fee for an affected individual’s first copy of a birth or marriage certificate will be waived with a FEMA disaster assistance ID Number and/or a Lahaina residential address. (Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. If you are an individual in need of diapers, our partner agency Keiki O Ka Aina can help to sign you up to receive diapers and provide you guidance with parenting services and classes. (SSG Fox SPGP) SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) is designed to assist service members, veterans and service-connected family members with resources through outreach, suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources. A comprehensive range of services includes individualized, compassionate case management; assistance with transportation, shelter, and childcare; access to mental health and substance abuse treatment options; help with navigating healthcare choices; and housing placements services. Additionally, the SPGP offers financial literacy education, referrals for legal assistance, peer specialist support, and resource navigation.

(CSFP) The CSFP works to improve the health of low income elderly persons by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Participants must complete an application, be at least 60 years of age, reside on Oahu and have an income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Once qualified, senior will receive a monthly food box consisting of UHT milk, juice, cereal, rice or pasta, peanut butter or beans, cheese, canned meat/poultry or fish and canned fruits and vegetables. (Meal Delivery - Hawaii Meals on Wheels) Medical meal (diabetic, renal, chopped, pureed, etc.) delivery service to homebound kupuna. Meals are frozen or hot, as needed. Frozen meals delivered once a week to your home and is a week's worth of meals. Hot meals are daily during weekdays, including all holidays. Both hot and frozen programs offer medical meals. Helps frail elderly and disabled individuals preserve their independence at home by providing nutritious meals and regular personal contact. Clients will have to have limited mobility; not be able to meet certain criteria of daily living i.e. difficulty dressing themselves, unable to cook or shop on their own. For private pay and sponsored services, A Hawaii Meals on Wheels staff will check in with their physician on their health status.

Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls.
