(WSPAP) The Western States Pension Assistance Project is a pension counseling project within Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) that provides services free of charge, serving callers of all ages and income levels who live or have worked in California, Arizona, Nevada or Hawaii. There are no age or income requirements to this project. The team helps clients to understand their retirement plan rights and claim the benefits they have earned, regardless of the type of company or retirement benefit involved. They also assist with tracking down benefits from previous employers, working through the claims and appeals process, helping clients understand their rights as a former or surviving spouse, correcting pension benefit calculations, and addressing overpayment demands.

If you have limited access to the internet, many public libraries, shelters, and resource centers offer free computer or mobile access. A trusted advocate or case worker may also assist you in completing the application. If approved, we will provide instructions for scheduling care with a participating veterinary clinic. You contribute what you are able to at the appointment, and we help cover the remaining eligible costs. Important: Services may be declined based on eligibility criteria, missed appointments, service limitations, specific procedures, or funding availability.
