(Goodwill Surplus Store) Goodwill Industries of Hawaii operates a thrift store selling low cost furniture, household goods, toys, and more. Proceeds benefit vocational training programs for individuals with employment barriers.

(Tutu Bert's House) The Tutu Bert Medical Respite Homes serve as places for rest and recovery. Those who need medical attention arrive at our respite homes and stay until they are fully recovered from their recent medical procedure, surgery, or other treatments. Friendly staff and medical personnel are available around the clock. Meals and other supplies necessary for their recovery journey are provided to clients. Our locations are tucked away in Makiki and Kalihi.

Provides venue for the sale of new, low cost or used merchandise. Offers free vendor space to bonafide non-profit groups on 51 Saturdays a year. Vendors may register the day of the sale.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (MEO) Assists low-income individuals and legal permanent residents to become self-sufficient by providing counseling services, pre-employment training, and support services.

Provides technical knowledge and information to commercial fisheries and aquaculture farms to increase production methods, processing and resource management. Receives, evaluates and distributes harvest data of commercial fish resources. Experiments with fish habitat and provides prawn seedlings as authorized. Maintains statewide fish aggregating buoy system to attract pelagic species.

(Pauahi Rec Center) Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for adults and seniors, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games, and exercises, music, martial arts, and seasonal activities. Elderly lunch available through Lanakila Rehabilitation. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(808 No Vape) 808NOVAPE is a vaping prevention campaign currently providing presentations for elementary, middle and high school students. Typically, the presentations are done for health classes, but we have done several all school assemblies or covered entire grades. We also provide presentations for parents and teachers as well as college students and other community groups seeking to raise awareness around this issue. We can also do presentations for a parents night or a school staff training. The presentation is conducted via Powerpoint and is scalable from a 30 minute presentation up to a full hour including Question and Answer (Q & A), and usually requires a projector and screen, or large TV. Presentations can also be planned virtually via Zoom, Webex or Google Classroom. (SSVF) HOPE Services Hawaii Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) promotes housing stability among veterans’ families with very low income who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing. The SSVF Program may be able to provide the following services as they relate to housing stability: Outreach services, case management services, assistance obtaining VA benefits, assistance obtaining other public benefits and needed services within the community, limited financial assistance that is necessary to stabilize housing, assistance with housing searches, financial planning as it relates to stabilizing housing, health care services, daily living services, transportation services, fiduciary and payee services, and legal services.

Provides counseling, advocacy, representation on behalf of veterans, their families, dependents to secure rights or benefits. Receives, investigates, and resolves disputes and complaints. Assesses client information and circumstances to determine need and/or eligibility for services and benefits. Provides burial assistance benefits including burial, burial allowance, plot or interment allowance, headstone or grave marker, burial flags, presidential memorial certificate, dependency and indemnity compensation and other benefits. Provides escort services including accompanying and personally assisting a client to obtain services. Provides letter writing, letter reading, records repository, notary public, recordation of forms. Will file original documents, specifically DD-214s or equivalent for clients.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
