Lokahi Treatment Centers (LTC) provides a highly structured environment that is centered on personal responsibility, individual dignity, and self-esteem. At LTC, our goal is to provide our clients with a continuum of care to meet them right where they are and guide them through a world of new choices. LTC provides identical services at all five (5) of our offices in Hilo, Kona, Kohala, Honoka'a & Waikoloa. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Receives information on violations of state natural and cultural resource laws. Accepts reports from the public on potential violations or illegal activity on state lands or ocean.

Maintains official inventory of state lands and acquires land for public purposes including schools, parks, airports, libraries. Land not set aside for public purposes is auctioned for sale, lease or month-to-month tenancies. Refers survey and boundary questions to Department of Accounting and General Services Survey Division. Issues permits for beach weddings on state land.

Provides assistance to individuals and families whose lives been disrupted by drugs and alcohol abuse. Do not offer treatment programs, but rely on bibilical guidance, prayer, bible studies, and an atmosphere of God's love to affect change in a person's life.

Works in partnership with County Early Childhood Resource Coordinator to promote coordinated early childhood education and care system for children from birth to age eight in the County of Maui. Provides phone consultations, information on early childhood related topics, and referrals to early childhood services. Child care payment subsidies are available to qualified working families, children with parents in school/job training, and retired grandparents raising their grandchildren. Also collaborates with the Department of Education in providing school readiness materials and programs.

Conducts telephone book recycling for Hawaiian TelCom/Verizon during the distribution of new phone books. Pick up phone books of 400 or more at no cost.

(ECS, Nā Lima Hana Employment Core Services - Kalihi-Palama District) The Na Lima Hana Employment Core Services program provides employment preparation training, personalized case management services, tuition assistance for vocational training, and job placement for unemployed and underemployed individuals. Provides care coordination to target populations. Participates with communities to problem-solve health issues. Provides education in women and child health, chronic diseases, etc. Facilitates access to health care, mental health care, social services. Tuberculosis testing services are not offered here.

(AFT) Hawaii International Child's mission is to help orphaned and needy children find loving families, while helping parents adopt children they wish to love and raise. Through education, humanitarian aid, adoption advocacy and service programs, we strive to encourage the bond between children and their forever families.

They offer a great way to have fun, make new friends and develop valuable leadership skills. You can visit the website to look at a list of locations that collect used prescription and nonprescription glasses that can be dropped off in the marked blue boxes. If these used eyeglasses are not sent directly to a specific country, the used eyeglasses are sent to a recycling center in Vallejo, CA where they are processed and distributed to areas in need. (SSVF) Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) provides outreach and case management service to improve housing stability by providing supportive services to eligible Veteran families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing. Supportive Services include housing search assistance, landlord mediation, and temporary financial assistance. SSVF also provides information and referrals to assist participants with obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits, which may include health care services, personal financial planning services, and legal services.

Administers both the home delivery of meals and the congregate meal programs. Monitors overall condition of homebound during meal delivery. Coordinates congregate meals at a low cost. Offers leisure actvities, special events and educational sessions in consumer awareness and support services.

Waikiki Health’s Tobacco Treatment Program services include free counseling with a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, nicotine replacement therapies, personalized Quit Plans, and more.
