ESH recognizes the value employment has in achieving acceptance and living independent and fulfilling lives. ESH Employment Services provides exceptional, individualized services that support community integration through competitive employment. In collaborating with the Job Seeker, ESH develops an Individual Plan which will identify employment goals, activities and objectives. To implement best practices and person -centered planning, ESH uses a "Discovery Process" and "Customized Employment" model. Discovery Process and Customized Employment are recognized by the US Department of Labor as best practices.

Also gives public advice on small animals and insects causing a problem in or near a home or building such as mice, roaches, flies, gnats, mites, rats, and nesting birds. Offers information and advice to individuals experiencing pest problems. Accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing. They no longer spray for mosquitos.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, video and audio tapes, compact discs and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference services.

(Ho`okele Case Management) HUGS provides case management for families with children that have life threating, chronic illnesses. Case management helps connects HUGS families to different community resources and agencies to provide a variety of services based on need. HUGS also provides financial assistance (emergency airfare) and non-perishable food to clients/families enrolled with HUGS.

MISSION: The urgent mission of The Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments, and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases. SERVICES: For a $25.00 annual membership fee, FFB offers information and referral services for affected individuals and their families as well as for doctors and eye care professionals. The Foundation also provides comprehensive information kits on retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and usher syndrome. Our newsletter, InFocus, and our e-newsletter, InFocus online, present articles on coping, research updates, and Foundation news. InFocus is published 3 times per year; InFocus online is sent approximately 3 times per year. Our national conference is usually held every year.

(PAF After School, Malama and Lokahi) Pacific American Foundation provides afterschool programming for the Malama and Lokahi programs at: Blanche Pope Elementary, Waimanalo Intermediate and Elementary, Malama Honua Public Charter School, Keolu Elementary School, Kailua Elementary School, Kailua High School, Olomana School, Puohala School, Waiahole Elementary, Kaneohe Elementary, Ahuimanu Elementary, Benjamine Parker Elementary, Windward Nazarene Academy, Kapunahala Elementary, Kahaluu Elementary, and Heeia Elementary.

(Recreational Soccer League, Soccer) American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a Youth Soccer Organization servicing the Kaneohe area to include areas up through Kaaawa. There is a very important program (VIP) for the physically challenged. The Program runs all year round with our main season during the fall of each year. Provides basic concepts of soccer to the youth of Kaneohe with the intent for the youth to participate at higher levels as they become available. Clinics are provided to adults to obtain the basics for coaching and refereeing. AYSO is entirely made up of volunteers.

Hina's Legacy Rescue Foundation actively recruits volunteers to assist with rescues, foster care, and community events. We provide comprehensive training to ensure volunteers are prepared to support animals in a meaningful way, whether through hands-on care, helping at adoption events, or educating the public about animal welfare.

(Hawaii Copd Coalition) Hawaii Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (HiCOPD) Coalition was formed in 2007 to provide services and improve treatment of Hawaii adults diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and its related disorders. Program serves patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and others offering free lung health information, free paper and pen screening tests, tobacco cessation information, monthly support group meetings, presentations on COPD, advocacy, training for volunteers/healthcare workers about COPD and Smoking Cessation counseling, information sharing of licensure for Hawaii’s respiratory therapists which has successfully led to licensing. The Medical Reserve Corps in Hawaii is an all volunteer group with many different skill sets. The Hawaii MRC needs volunteers who have medical and non-medical backgrounds who want to serve their local communities during public health emergencies or large scale emergency response events.

Assists Austrian citizens visiting or living in Hawaii (medical problems, legal issues, etc.). Provides information for potential visitors to Austria.

(Kids Hurt Too and HI Rising) Provides peer support groups and mentoring programs for children, teens, and their families after deaths, divorces and separation from parents resulting in out of home placements. Provides support group for survivors of brain injuries and family caregivers. Provides literature, quarterly newsletter, monthly bulletin and videos.

The Respite Home program provides respite care as needed to families that are linked with the Department of Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). The families that use the Respite Home therapeutic living program have behaviorally challenging youth in their homes and have used all of their resources to be able to maintain them on a constant basis. Respite Home services are designed to give these families short-term dependable relief to allow them to rejuvenate and provide a more stable family environment upon the youth’s return. This will hopefully decrease the potential for abuse and neglect and prevent placement of the youth in a more restrictive setting. Services included: -Activities that support daily living skills. -Culturally relevant recreational and social activities. -On-call crisis intervention and support. -Medication monitoring.
