The Respite Home program provides respite care as needed to families that are linked with the Department of Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). The families that use the Respite Home therapeutic living program have behaviorally challenging youth in their homes and have used all of their resources to be able to maintain them on a constant basis.
Respite Home services are designed to give these families short-term dependable relief to allow them to rejuvenate and provide a more stable family environment upon the youth’s return. This will hopefully decrease the potential for abuse and neglect and prevent placement of the youth in a more restrictive setting.
Services included:
-Activities that support daily living skills.
-Culturally relevant recreational and social activities.
-On-call crisis intervention and support.
-Medication monitoring.
