(CLDP, Team Based Opportunities) The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a paid program for early professionals interested in pursuing a career in conservation. In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. Serving in areas such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science, and more, CLDP terms typically last from 6 months to 1 year, offering hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in communities across Hawaii and the Pacific.

(TRY, TRY Center, Community Teen Program - KPT - Middle and High School) Parents And Children Together's Community Tenacious Rooted Youth (TRY) Centers in Kuhio Park Terrace and Puuwai Momi public housing provides comprehensive development programs for youth who live in and around the housing complexes. After school programs promote the development of youth, families, and communities by providing educational activities and experiences including STEM projects, sports and recreation, community service, skill building, and support services. Programs support the growth and development of our youth by teaching leadership and life skills and encouraging positive experiences as alternatives to drugs and gangs. TRY Center activities are free and open to family residents of public housing complexes in the respective areas. Opens at 1:30 pm on Wednesdays during the school year. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention, LIHEAP ECI, ECI, Energy Crisis Intervention) Assists households who are at the verge of getting their electricity or utility terminated or if their electricity or utility has been terminated. Applicants may apply, once per program year for one of the two types of credit: Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI). Energy Crisis program assists with up to $650 to restore power to the residence of a household whose electricity or gas has been shut off or is about to be terminated.

(K9 Kokua) K9 Kokua provides direct outreach to dogs of the houseless on Oahu and Maui, persons affected by domestic violence, including kupuna and veterans facing hardship. Services include veterian care resources, wellness checks for dogs, owner education, assistance through housing transitions. Fostering available for person affected by dometic violence. K9 Kokua is an all volunteer agency. Volunteers are accepted for everything from writing thank you cards to direct outreach services.
