Our Cancer Rehabilitation Program (CRP) is a comprehensive program that provides outpatient rehabilitation to cancer patients and survivors. Whether newly diagnosed or finished with treatment, we can help decrease pain and enable individuals to safely and effectively regain independence. Our goal is to help patients love their life as they did before cancer. For those who want to increase their independence and fulfill rehab goals, the CRP may be the right path. Patients work with a team of cancer rehabilitation specialists, including physical therapists and exercise physiologists, to create a program tailored specifically towards improving quality of life.

(HIPTRC, Hawaii Prevention Resource Center) The Hawaii Prevention and Treatment Resource Center (HIPTRC) houses the state’s most comprehensive resources on substance use prevention, treatment, and related issues available through its lending library, resource clearinghouse, and technical assistance services. Resources include books, brochures, infographics, posters, and other educational materials available for loan or for free distribution. The HIPTRC is open to the general public and provides consultation for service providers, school personnel, and others regarding access to educational resources, training, information, and available services.

McKinley Community School for Adults - McKinley Campus provides adults with basic, remedial, and continuing education opportunities. Our programs include English Language Acquisition (ELA), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation, and general interest classes. We are an official GED and HiSET test center.

(Alanon Family Group Kauai, Alateen Kauai) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Offers an annual volunteer training program. Holds informational meetings regarding the training and sets up interviews with each interested person. After initial screening, potential volunteers attend 36 hours of training held over the course of one month. Sessions focus on educating the group about death and dying, grief and bereavement. Through teaching active listening and doing extensive role-playing, volunteers learn about the various stages of the dying process.

Provides general medical care, coordination of specialty services and preventive medicine. Provides care in dermatology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, rheumatology and physical therapy. Also provides flu and pneumonia vaccines.

Responsible for emergency search and rescue for boating and ocean emergencies and clean-up of oil spills. Provides boating safety education and safety inspections of boats. Enforces laws at sea.

(Hawaii Childrens Action Network) We invest in Hawaii's children by helping create sustainable solutions to poverty and inequity. Poverty alleviation starts at birth. The learning gap between advantaged and disadvantaged children shows up as early as 9 month of age. We advocate for policies that help narrow that gap. We believe all children deserve a safe place to call home. Hawaii's lack of paid family leave forces families to choose their families during their time of need, or keep their jobs. We advocate for policies that support our families and businesses, build coalitions among non-profit organizations, create partnerships with businesses, and mobilize individuals and communities.

Operates a psychosocial rehabilitation program for seriously mentally ill adults utilizing a clubhouse model philosophy. Helps members increase or regain their personal and social skills, self confidence, self esteem and level of satisfaction to resume a productive life in the community. Provides assessment, rehabilitation planning, prevocational training, vocational services, supported education, psychosocial skills training, supportive counseling, recreational activities.

School-based programs are during or after-school and conducted in collaboration with school counselors. Programs offer therapeutic peer support groups that follow the Hawaii Department of Education (HDOE) public school calendar. Kids Hurt Too Hawaii (KHTH) is expanding school-based groups upon request from schools. Requirements include a dedicated therapeutic space for conducting groups at the school. KHTH provides the supplies and set-up as well as trains volunteers to assist if allowed with professional staff available at every group. Currently at Paia and Nanakuli. The program is expanding to other schools upon request. Currently helping elementary school aged children.

Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps provides emergency food and clothing, and emotional and spiritual care to victims of disaster. The Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps is not currently taking donated items for victims at this time.

Promotes water enrichment and aquatic readiness activities for children and their parents. Skills are developed around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water sports/game, and rescue.
