The programming activities allows youths in the 6th grade through high school age (up to 18 years old) to acquire the attitudes, competencies, values, and social skills that is necessary to carry them forward to successful adulthood. MEO Youth Services also assists the youths/young adults with skills to avoid choices and behaviors that will limit their future potential. Parents And Children Together's (PACT) HEART and Soul program provides group programs and mentoring services for children typically between the ages of 5 years old - 21 years old who have experienced sexual abuse. (Nanas House Family Centers - Waimea, Neighborhood Places of Kauai) In partnership with a community Ohana Board and other community agencies, provides family support and family preservation services to the families in defined areas of Kauai. Incorporating a community family center model, we provide a healing and nurturing environment in which intervention services are interwoven with prevention activities. Services include information and referral, emergency food pantry, emergency clothes closet, parent skills classes, youth development programs, individual support for expecting and new parents, assistance with food stamp applications, job information services, outreach activities to engage hard to reach families, individual and family counseling, tobacco treatment and community activities and cultural awareness activities.

(HCAP Administration) Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc. (HCAP) offers a variety of programs and services designed to help Oahu's low-income individuals and families to achieve self-reliance. (Puuhonua Prison Program - Pre/Post-Release Assistance to Oahu Offenders, Pu'uhonua Prison Program - Pre/Post-Release Assistance to Oahu Offenders) Puuhonua Prison Program helps incarcerated men and women navigate through the challenges of re-entering society, which includes avoiding homelessness, becoming rehabilitated, securing employment, and avoiding recidivism. Program participants receive help obtaining MedQUEST health insurance, SNAP/financial assistance, Goodwill clothing vouchers, bus passes, and referrals to shelter/housing resources and prospective employers. Puuhonua staff meet with offenders on-site at Oahu’s correctional facilities and also provide support post-release. Welcomes and accepts volunteers (including high school students, college students, working adults and senior retirees). Volunteers assist Health System employees with acute care, long-term care and geriatric care. Duties range from clerical support to companionship activities within nursing home residents or patient assistance at the medical center. Volunteers also participate in hospital tours for visitors. Volunteers are accepted year round. Upon acceptance into the program, volunteers attend a general orientation given by the supervisor of their assigned department. Most volunteers work one to two times a week and a minimum of three hours a shift. Weekends are available.
