(Society for Konas Education and Art) Offers Kona schools a "menu" of art (performing, literary & visual) activities for teachers. Works with the teachers to expand upon curriculum themes. Sponsors a youth group to advise on youth programs. Offers art workshops for adults & children and special events such as concerts and ho'olaulea. Art Camps for Children and Magic Camp during the October school break.

(VISTA, Volunteer in Service to America) Volunteers can serve as a VISTA, a VISTA leader, or a VISTA summer associate. AmeriCorps VISTA members build capacity in nonprofit organizations and public agencies. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve full time for one-year terms. Leaders work to expand and build the capacity of individual AmeriCorps VISTA members and their service sites. AmeriCorps VISTA Leaders have previously served a full term of full-time service with any AmeriCorps program or with Peace Corps, and have demonstrated exemplary skills and leadership in community service. The AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate program offers individuals the opportunity to become engaged in a community through an existing AmeriCorps VISTA project for 8, 9, or 10 weeks during the summer.

(Act 278) Kuikahi Mediation Center has been contracted to administer the Eviction Mediation Pilot Program. This two-year pilot program requires early and free mediation between landlords and tenants before eviction for nonpayment of rent. The program runs February 5, 2026 - February 4, 2028. Tenants have 10 calendar days to respond to an eviction notice. If a tenant requests mediation in 10 day notice period, then the landlord must participate before filing for eviction. Mediation sessions are online via Zoom or in person, per request. For landlords, visit the website for more information and to submit a Landlord Intake Form to start the process. (KTLC, Kumuhonua, Kumuhonua Transitional Living Center) Kumuhonua Emergency Shelter provides transitional housing and case management services for single adults, couples, and adult families (18 years and older) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Low-barrier to entry maintained.

(Sultan Early Intervention Program, Easter Seals Sultan Early Intervention Program) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

(After School Drop In) The Susannah Wesley Community Center After School Enrichment Program provides a safe, structured spaces where youth ages 7 years old -18 year old can build life skills, discover new interest, and form meaningful relationships with peers. Activities focus on personal growth, leadership, and academic achievement.

(Hoala Hou - High Risk Reduction) Provides prevention services to youth ages 10-17. Department staff utilizes Best Practice or Evidence Based prevention curriculums to educate youths and parents on the dangers of substance abuse/use. We continue to provide on-going substance free activities at various schools statewide and partner with other local agencies. The department also works to develop a variety of prevention curriculum, incorporating Hawaiian values, culture, and practices. (Sex Abuse Treatment Services) Provides comprehensive services for families and individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within the family. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings. Treatment is provided through individual, dyad, family therapy and an extensive group program. The various components of the program are designed to reinforce each other for more comprehensive treatment. Provides group counseling, individual counseling, mother-daughter counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling services for victims of incest, their siblings, non-offending parents, and offenders.
