Financial Assistance: A limited amount of indirect assistance is available to any cancer patient in Hawaii for patient services not covered by insurance such as transportation for medical appointments and treatment, breast prostheses, wigs and hats. Referrals to local resources as well as mainland resources too.

Community Empowerment Resources - Intensive Outpatient Program

(IOP) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intensive psychotherapeutic program designed to treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include group therapy, individual counseling, and toxicology testing. Sessions are often done as a group. Clients go home each night, rather than living at a treatment center. Clients attend IOP groups 3-5 days per week, for a total of 9-15 hours per week.

Shelter of Wisdom

Shelter of Wisdom rents homes which are shared by our men. Men live in double rooms with shared living areas and house chores. We provide intensive case management until our men are accepted into permanent housing. We provide household furnishings for their new homes, which are donated to us by the community. Men must maintain their sobriety, hygiene, medications, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping and behavior.
