Issues camping and use permits for state parks system. Plans, acquires, develops and maintains state park lands. Maui island state parks include: Halekii-Piihana Heiau State Monument, Iao Valley State Monument, Kaumahina State Wayside, Puaa Kaa State Wayside, Makena State Park, and Wailua Valley State Wayside. Tent and cabin camping at Polipoli Springs State Recreation Area and Waianapanapa State Park. Molokai state parks include: Palaau State Park. No state parks located on Lanai.
