In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. (Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii) Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. Boys and Girls Clubs of Maui operates a drop-in service facility for youth ages 8 years old to 18 years old, if enrolled in high school. Programs and activities include: character and leadership; healthy lifestyles; sports, fitness, and recreation; education; and workforce development.

(Family Center and Immigrant Resource Center, Family and Economic Opportunity Center, C-BASED program, Competency-BASED Community School Diploma Program, Competency BASED Community School Diploma Program) The Economic Opportunity Center (EOC) provides workforce development, job readiness training, and financial literacy training for families and individuals who are underemployed or unemployed. EOC helps clients develop their potential, provides technical assistance, and assists in removing personal barriers to employment through one-on-one coaching. EOC partners with local employers to provide pipelines to employment for underserved workers.

Request a payment arrangement with the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative by filling out an online form. Payment Arrangement Plans of up to 3 months are offered for members having difficulty retiring a past due balance. Financial Assistance programs are available through partner agencies. The Private Sector Hawaii serves the North Shore of Oahu only: Mokuleia, Waialua, Haleiwa, Sunset Beach, Kahuku. Food boxes are delivered after an individual calls and requests a box. A recipient must call every time they need a food box. Our goal is to deliver the box within a week of a call, though we have been behind due to increased requests. Recipients can expect to receive one food box a month. This is an all volunteer charity and we deliver food boxes as volunteers are available. If someone has an emergency need for food, we will get a box to them immediately. No on site distribution.

Each office is stocked with up-to-date free brochures, books and videos you or your caregiver can borrow. For your convenience, many items can be mailed to you. Patient Services Navigators: Through our Division's Patient Services Center, specialists connect patients with information, resources and support, and help eliminate barriers to needed care. Financial Assistance: A limited amount of indirect assistance is available to any cancer patient in Hawaii for patient services not covered by insurance such as transportation for medical appointments and treatment, breast prostheses, wigs and hats. Referrals to local resources as well as mainland resources too.

(Community Services) Church of Seventh-Day Adventist distributes food to the needy. Some toiletries (soap, tooth brushes, tooth paste, diapers, and items that are donated ) a provided when they are available. Church of Seventh-Day Adventist accepts donated personal grooming supplies.
