Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. Our goal is to better prepare the child for kindergarten and beyond by using family engagement techniques and strategies.

Provides part-time volunteer work with stipend for low income senior citizens to work with special or exceptional needs persons at institutions, schools, day care centers, etc. Duties may involve reading, literacy activities, tutoring. Volunteers receive a stipend.

RICO investigates complaints that allege possible licensing violations. Licensing violations vary depending upon the particular license, but include allegations such as professional misconduct, misrepresentation, poor workmanship, substance abuse, or operating without a required license. RICO receives complaints from a wide variety of sources, including consumers, boards, other law enforcement agencies, other state boards, businesses, competitors, and licensees.

This CDC-recognized program is a year-long structured lifestyle change program that includes dietary coaching and moderate physical activity, all with the goal of preventing or delaying the onset of type 2 diabetes among those who are at high risk for diabetes. The program consists of 16 core sessions over the course of the first six months, followed by less-intensive classes held monthly for the rest of the year-long program. The goal of the program is to cut one's risk of developing diabetes in half by losing 5-7% of their body weight through healthier eating and engaging in 150 minutes of physical activity each week. This program also includes shopping tours, cooking classes, exercise, on-site gardening, and stress management sessions.

Assists people with a one-time credit once every 12 month rolling period. Maximum subsidy may not exceed $300. Clients may not apply for this program and Kauai Economic Opportunity Low Income Assistance Program in the same 12 month rolling period.

Its mission is to assist families toward a positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age from any cause. The Caregiver Foundation provides support for the caregivers and individuals needing care through practical and emotional support services and educational programs. Provides congregate meals program for persons aged 60 and over at several Senior Center sites around the island.
