Jury trials are held in the Circuit Courts, which have general jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases. They also have exclusive jurisdiction in probate, guardianship and criminal felony cases, as well as civil cases where the contested amount exceeds $40,000. Circuit Courts share concurrent jurisdiction with District Courts in civil non-jury cases in which the amounts in controversy are between $10,000 and $40,000. Other cases heard by the Circuit Courts include mechanics' liens and misdemeanor violations transferred from the District Courts for jury trials.

(Act 310) The Act 310 Nonprofit Grants Program, made possible through emergency funding approved by the Hawaii State Legislature. Act 310 is the official law created from Hawaii’s Senate Bill 933, signed by Governor Josh Green in July 2025. (Family Visitation Center - Kauai) Family Visitation Centers provide a safe, neutral setting for children to visit with their non-custodial parents or transition from one parent to the other. After a divorce or separation, family visitation services may be arranged by agreement of both parents and by court order.

Self-Help Housing Corporation of Hawaii (SHHCH) is developing the 87 lot Nanaikeola Self-Help Housing Subdivision in Nanakuli. SHHCH provides technical assistance to families with very low and low income to build their own houses through the team self-help housing method. Technical assistance includes financial counseling, loan packaging, homeownership education, and instructions on-the-job on how to build houses through the mutual self-help housing method. Under the team self-help housing approach families will build one and two story, three and four bedroom houses for $395,000, fee simple. No down payment required. Each family will contribute 32 hours/week of labor and help each other build the houses through a mass construction technique. (Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

Operates a psychosocial rehabilitation program for seriously mentally ill adults utilizing a clubhouse model philosophy. Helps members increase or regain their personal and social skills, self confidence, self esteem and level of satisfaction to resume a productive life in the community.
