Military Onesource

Military OneSource is a Department of Defense-funded program that’s both a 24/7/365 call center and a website providing comprehensive information, resources and assistance on every aspect of military life—all at no cost to the user. Military OneSource provides information and referral on a wide range of topics including deployment, reintegration, financial, relationship issues, grief, spouse employment and education, and parenting and life skills. All calls to the call center are answered live by a master’s-level consultant. A central service provided by Military OneSource is confidential non-medical counseling. Non-medical counseling is available for up to 12 sessions, per person, per issue and is intended to prevent the development or exacerbation of lifestyle conditions that may compromise military and family readiness. Sessions are available in-person, by telephone, secure online chat and video.

Work-Life Center

Provides family violence case management. Provides information and referral, short-term counseling and ombudsman program. Operates an employment resource center. Provides family advocacy training, in-home child care provider program, relocation information, employee assistance program, and wellness program. Provides sexual assault response coordination. Coordinates travel to obtain health care.

The ASYMCA of Honolulu,Wheeler Army AirField/Schofield Barracks , provides military families with activities that will help strengthen and encourage those who use the services. At this branch we offer Parent Participation Preschool, Kids in the Kitchen, a Food Pantry, and other activities geared to the young military family. Provides drop-in child care for military families when they have medical/doctor appointments, services are offered at Tripler and Schofield facilities.

Offers Volunteer Opportunities: Exceptional Family Member Program for special needs family members. Personal Financial Management Program: budget counseling investment strategies. Retired Activities Program: provides assistance and information to military retirees and their families.

Kaneohe - Armed Services YMCA Outreach

The Armed Services YMCA of Honolulu provides innovative and quality social, educational, and recreational programs to meet the needs of military service members and their families in the state of Hawaii. The ASYMCA is committed to promoting its goals of strengthening military families, supporting healthy lifestyles, reducing isolation and assisting service members and their families in connecting to their community. Provides a variety of programs for military families including family outreach services, food pantry and craft classes. Accepts volunteers to assist with answering the telephone, customer service, cleaning, decorating for special events and assisting with children 5 years old and below. Provides drop-in child care for military families when they have medical/doctor appointments, services are offered at Tripler and Schofield facilities.

Family Program

Families who are accepted into our program can live at the National Home in a single family home for up to four years while working with a professional case worker to set goals and make plans for the future. Families also have access to educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities. Community resources and counseling referrals are provided as needed. Free state-certified daycare services are provided free of charge for children five and under.

The Armed Services YMCA has proudly served Hawaii-based military and their family members since 1917. These centers offer a variety of programs, activities, and services.
