Eligibility for admission is: -Married, Single Parent or guardian(s) families with dependent child(ren) where: -The child(ren) have VFW or Ladies Auxiliary member in his or her lineage and/or -A parent is a veteran; honorably discharged or still serving in the National Guard or Reserves. -Deploying or unaccompanied tour service members: -Spouse with dependent child(ren) or -Family Plan appointed guardian with dependent child(ren)

Families who are accepted into our program can live at the National Home in a single family home for up to four years while working with a professional case worker to set goals and make plans for the future. Families also have access to educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities. Community resources and counseling referrals are provided as needed. Free state-certified daycare services are provided free of charge for children five and under.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Home for Children serves as a living memorial to America's veterans by helping our nation's veteran and military families. Through our Helpline and our on-campus programs, we help families and children through times of crisis, both on our beautiful campus and in their own communities nationwide.
