Adult Day and Elder Care Program

The Arc of Hilo

Provides services for individuals with disabilities. Waiver services include Adult Day Health (ADH), Personal Assistance (PA),Community Learning Service (CLS), and Employment Training. Hands-on vocational training in Commercial Services Department in janitorial,laundry, grounds keeping, event planning (conferences, meeting, etc.), as well as other possible vocational areas.

Lanakila Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), a program of Lanakila Pacific, assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mastering basic skills to expand their life experiences and foster a sense of independence. Focusing on each person’s individual needs, Adult Day Health programs located in Honolulu and Wahiawa offer in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that can help participants build the confidence and skills needed to integrate into the community as well as engage in volunteer and pre-vocational activities. The Employment Exploration component enables participants to identify interests and explore potential integrated employment settings.
