Eligibility

Adults with developmental disabilities, cognitive, physical, or social disabilities, 18 years of age and older. Possess basic self-help skills (i.e. toileting, mobility, eating etc.). Cannot display uncontrollable violent or destructive behavior or which endangers self or others.

Appointment required. Referral by Department of Health is required.

Lanakila Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), a program of Lanakila Pacific, assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mastering basic skills to expand their life experiences and foster a sense of independence. Focusing on each person’s individual needs, Adult Day Health programs located in Honolulu and Wahiawa offer in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that can help participants build the confidence and skills needed to integrate into the community as well as engage in volunteer and pre-vocational activities. The Employment Exploration component enables participants to identify interests and explore potential integrated employment settings.
