Flight support is provided to children and adult patients at no cost to the family, as many times as necessary. Flight programs include domestic and international travel to U.S. treatment facilities and to train/retrieve service dogs.

Cancer Specialists: On duty with science-based, trusted information 24 hours a day by calling 1-800-227-2345 or you can visit www.cancer.org. Each office is stocked with up-to-date free brochures, books and videos you or your caregiver can borrow. For your convenience, many items can be mailed to you. Patient Services Navigators: Through our Division's Patient Services Center, specialists connect patients with information, resources and support, and help eliminate barriers to needed care. Financial Assistance: A limited amount of indirect assistance is available to any cancer patient in Hawaii for patient services not covered by insurance such as transportation for medical appointments and treatment, breast prostheses, wigs and hats. Referrals to local resources as well as mainland resources too.

Angel Flight West

Angel Flight West is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. Our network of 1,500+ pilots, as well as commercial airline partners, throughout the 13 western states donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations. Ambulatory patients needing medical transportation to the 13 Western States; Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may be eligible. This includes inter-island transportation as well.

Dream Imua, formerly A Keiki’s Dream, grants child-directed dreams to children 4-16 years old in crisis of any nature, such as abuse, neglect, homelessness or a major medical issues. This child-directed approach not only offers a reprieve from suffering, but validates the child’s self-worth, sending positive messages of support and encouragement, reminding the child what it is to have hope. This important program began in 1990 and became part of Imua Family Services in 2015. Over the last 30 years, the program has filled nearly 1,500 dreams from turning little girls into princesses and little boys into superheroes. The program offers children a chance to escape their difficult lives through helicopter rides, zip-lining, music lessons, horseback riding and more. Dream Imua relies on community support and involvement to help make these dreams a reality for those in need.

We are a local nonprofit agency that is part of a national network of organizations and individuals committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development. We offer a MothersCare Hotline, an online resource directory, and a health text messaging resource called Text4Baby. A coalition that promotes a better system of care for pregnant and parenting women and their families. Activities include helping pregnant women get prenatal care and health insurance, producing perinatal education and information, and conducting trainings to Hawaii's perinatal providers. Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.
