We provide in-home care services which include companionship, light housekeeping, cooking, supervision, Activities of Daily Living; including bathing, toileting, transfer assistance, dressing, feeding, and grooming, and various other duties as determined by the assessment. Kokua Care Foundation Charitable Care Services (KCFCCS) provides these care services at no charge to qualified individuals, and at-cost services for individuals who are unable to qualify for the program, but have shown the need for service. These services are provided by Kokua Care.

Miracle Flights provides free airline tickets to families in need of specialized, distant medical care and/or second opinions. Flight support is provided to children and adult patients at no cost to the family, as many times as necessary. Flight programs include domestic and international travel to U.S. treatment facilities and to train/retrieve service dogs.

Provides correctional care and custody of adult law offenders committed by the courts to serve sentences and arrested persons unable to make bail.

-CDC program is a year-long program that includes dietary coaching and moderate physical activity. -consists of 16 core sessions over the course of the first six months, followed by less-intesive classes held monthly for the rest o the year-long program. -currculum classes are augmented with free cooking demos, demonstration of simple exercises, opportunities for activities like walking with Health Educator and Community Helth Worker, referrals to other resources in the community, relaxation techniques, and incentive gifts. -goals are to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes among those wo are at high risk for diabetes, cut one's risk of developing diabetes in half by losing 5-7% of their body weight through healthier eating and engaging in 150 minutes of physical activity each week.

Medicab provides a door to door transportation service for people who need assistance or need to be escorted, usually to a doctor or medical facility. Drivers are trained how to communicate and assist elderly and disabled people. The driver does not lift, carry or push anyone. Drivers do sign out customers from the hospital and assist (guide by hand) people in and out of the vehicle COVID-19 patients are asked to sit at the back seat with their masks on. The driver drives with the windows down for full ventilation.

Operation School Bell provides new school clothing to children in schools identified as Title 1 by the Hawaii State Department of Education and school personnel. In schools with school uniforms, a school shirt is paid for by the Assistance League of Hawaii.

Supports advancements in CF (cystic fibrosis) research by funding its own network of research centers throughout the United States. Accredits and supports 115 CF care centers nationwide to provide high-quality, specialized care for those with CF. Provides referrals and information regarding CF to the general public. Supports extensive clinical trials to test new drug therapies for people with CF. Provides a variety of grants to scientists to conduct CF research.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Assists with daily living needs, financial aid for housing, food and medicine. Offers individual counseling, nursing, and social service case management. Accessing all aspect of medical care including vision, dental and drug assistance. Qualifying for public and private aid programs for housing and financial assistance, home health services, essential transportation, etc, Counseling and referral services including mental health, harm reduction and return to work programs, disability claims and a fully stocked food pantry on-site.

Provides support and information for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning youth, their parents, teachers, counselors, and youth workers. If enough participants are available we can provides weekly support groups for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth up to age 25, when we have a minimum of 5 interested participants.

Provides medical services. Does not administer COVID-19 Testing.

Serves environmentally at-risk families. Participants include prenatal women and families with children birth to three years old. The infants and children are considered at-risk for child abuse and neglect and developmental delays. The program provides comprehensive home visitation, child development screening and intervention, as well as psychosocial assessment, and motivational readiness for treatment and brief counseling. The intensity of the program varies over the course of service, starting with weekly home visits, and reducing the frequency as the family and child meet their goals.

Parents And Children Together (PACT) offers safe, compassionate, and confidential support in three counties for youth and families coping with serious behavioral, social and emotional challenges. Our evidence-based therapeutic models focus on family networks and relationships, school or job performance, peer connections and relationships, and community networks of support. All services are provided free of charge with referrals.

(NDR, March 2021 Flood) Nazarene Disaster Response (NDR) is a volunteer service responding to victims of natural and human-made disasters. It serves them regardless of race, creed, or economic status by concentrating on assistance to the poor, elderly, and handicapped, providing cleanup and restoration assistance for relief and reconstruction, enabling disaster victims to resume a normal life pattern.
