(LITFP) The Low Income Transit Fare Program (LITFP) provides a discounted transit fare for income qualifying individuals. Applications accepted on a first come, first served basis. The LITFP program runs on the City and County of Honolulu's fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th), so clients will need to reapply ever fiscal year. (Nanas House Family Centers - Waimea, Neighborhood Places of Kauai) In partnership with a community Ohana Board and other community agencies, provides family support and family preservation services to the families in defined areas of Kauai. Incorporating a community family center model, we provide a healing and nurturing environment in which intervention services are interwoven with prevention activities. Services include information and referral, emergency food pantry, emergency clothes closet, parent skills classes, youth development programs, individual support for expecting and new parents, assistance with food stamp applications, job information services, outreach activities to engage hard to reach families, individual and family counseling, tobacco treatment and community activities and cultural awareness activities.

Maintains official inventory of state lands and acquires land for public purposes including schools, parks, airports, libraries. Land not set aside for public purposes is auctioned for sale, lease or month-to-month tenancies. Refers survey and boundary questions to Department of Accounting and General Services Survey Division. Issues permits for beach weddings on state land.

Provides a statewide information and referral line. Helps direct callers to community organization that provide the services they are looking for. Program also provides emergency fund to assist Native Hawaiians to those that are eligible.

Sounding Joy's Direct Services include music therapy consultation, assessment, treatment planning, evaluation, and individual/group sessions conducted by Board Certified Music Therapists (MT-BC's). Music therapy sessions can be offered either individually or in group, according to the client's needs. We have grants and scholarships available to assist with payment for music therapy services. Our organization also offers various ranges of music therapy seminars and conferences, including continuing education credit opportunities. They are mostly targeted to specific populations/groups and topics, but sometimes to the general public. People may need to contact us before attending them. Provides temporary assistance and information for residents of the Island of Hawaii who have tested positive for COVID-19 and cannot safely self-quarantine or self-isolate at home. (Hele-On Ka Hoʻokele) Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council's (HCEOC) Transportation Program offers Hawaii Island residents who are elderly, low-income, or disabled access to essential sites such as medical facilities, nutrition sites, shopping centers, banks, post offices, government buildings, and places of employment. Services are based on availability, service areas and road conditions.

Provides comprehensive services to persons in acute mental health crisis or who are suffering from a serious mental illness. Provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment, counseling and psychotherapy, case management, outreach, crisis intervention, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Provides individual and family support, which promotes successful community living in the lifestyle of choice and which respects personal preferences, appreciates individual differences and preserves privacy and dignity to people with developmental disabilities, or acquired disabilities due to aging or head injury. Supports may include day service, personal assistance, habilitation, respite, skilled nursing or medically fragile case management.

Bridge House Clean and Sober Living provides a residential living opportunity for people in recovery from drug/alcohol abuse. We are a culturally-based program, utilizing Hawaiian health and healing principles. We also have a vocational skills building component, which prepares individuals for entry/re-entry into the work force. We also operate an outpatient substance abuse treatment program at an off-site location that provides assessment and formal treatment.
