Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. (NDR, March 2021 Flood) Nazarene Disaster Response (NDR) is a volunteer service responding to victims of natural and human-made disasters. It serves them regardless of race, creed, or economic status by concentrating on assistance to the poor, elderly, and handicapped, providing cleanup and restoration assistance for relief and reconstruction, enabling disaster victims to resume a normal life pattern. Food donations are accepted at Hale Kau Kau. Hale Kau Kau program serves dinner meals on-site to those who do not have the resources for basic food. Hale Kau Kau delivers dinner meals every day to homebound persons (seniors, people with disabilities, etc.)

The Medical Reserve Corps in Hawaii is an all volunteer group with many different skill sets. The Hawaii MRC needs volunteers who have medical and non-medical backgrounds who want to serve their local communities during public health emergencies or large scale emergency response events.

(Alanon Family Group East Hawaii, Alateen East Hawaii) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Alateen is a recovery program for teenagers whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. (Kauai Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) Provides volunteer opportunities for persons 55 years and older. Places volunteers at various public and non-profit agencies. Offers benefits to enrolled, active volunteers including supplemental accident, auto liability and public liability insurance; mileage reimbursement; and recognition activities.
