Loans production equipment to certified Ho'ike producers. Provides information on health and human services (Viewers request information by phone which is displayed on the television screen on channels 10, 12, & 13).

HUGS visits children with a life-threatening illness and their families while hospitalized for treatment. Interactive play with hospitalized child and/or siblings to relieve stress of hospitalization.

DHS Disability Determination Branch. The Disability Determination Branch (DDB) is also part of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. DDB determines whether Hawaii applicants for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits meet the required medical and/or psychiatric/psychological and vocational criteria to be found disabled. Kane Connections provides 1:1 and group support for men in the Maui community. While we encourage the participation of fathers or male caregivers (grandpa, uncle etc..) all men are invited to participate in the Kane Connections Program. Kane Connections offers the following services: 1:1 support via in person visits at our office, at your home, or in the community. Hui Kane our Monday night mens group held at Hale Makana. Kamalama, a 12 week parenting class for men and their partner/co-parent based on Hawaiian Values and rooted in the understanding that parents are their children's first teachers.

Promotes water enrichment and aquatic readiness activities for children and their parents. Skills are developed around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water sports/game, and rescue.

(ATV, YWCA of Kauai Alternatives to Violence) Provides psycho-education and support designed to interrupt the cycle of violence. Assists clients with anger management. Encourages, teaches and advocates non-violent behaviors. Available as a resource in the community for speakers and presentations.

(KHS) Purchase a day pass or annual membership to enjoy the Kauai Humane Society dog park – one for dogs smaller than 30 pounds and one for larger dogs. Park includes: water bowls, baby pools, water hoses, plenty of open space, trash receptacles, shaded gazebos and picnic tables. The day pass is only vaild for the day purchased on.

Diagnoses and treats sleep/wake disorders including insomnia, sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Offers periodic sleep education classes. Conducts a narcolepsy support group.

Rainbow Mililani opened in 1987. We are located in the heart of Mililani Town on the grounds of the Christ Lutheran Church , although we are not affiliated with any religious denomination. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii. We offer services to 60 children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old. Licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Service and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Provides correctional care and custody of adult law offenders committed by the Courts to serve sentences.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Military OneSource is a Department of Defense-funded program that’s both a 24/7/365 call center and a website providing comprehensive information, resources and assistance on every aspect of military life—all at no cost to the user. Military OneSource provides information and referral on a wide range of topics including deployment, reintegration, financial, relationship issues, grief, spouse employment and education, and parenting and life skills. All calls to the call center are answered live by a master’s-level consultant. A central service provided by Military OneSource is confidential non-medical counseling. Non-medical counseling is available for up to 12 sessions, per person, per issue and is intended to prevent the development or exacerbation of lifestyle conditions that may compromise military and family readiness. Sessions are available in-person, by telephone, secure online chat and video.

Designs and maintains traffic signals on county roads. Maintains timing of lights or vehicular traffic and pedestrian crossings.

Na Hoaloha volunteers provides round-trip transportation for older adults or people with a disability for needed medical appointments, procedures, grocery shopping, or medications retrievals. (HEFAP, Hawaii Emergency Food Benefit, HEFB) The Hawaii Emergency Food Assistance Program (HEFAP) is a new state-sponsored food benefit that is separate from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit. HEFAP will provide a benefit of $250 per person in a household. The HEFAP will be restricted to purchase food and groceries at retail locations that accept Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards.
